Light  ·  Legacy  ·  Love

Born from Legacy.
Crafted with Light.

A name inherited from a writer. A vision passed forward through a lens.

Mihira
✦   ✦   ✦

Mihira was the pen name of our Founder's father — a writer who believed that stories, told with honesty, could outlive time. Years later, his son carried that belief forward — not with words, but with light.

And that's how Mihira Studios was born — as a continuation of a legacy, and a tribute to everything worth remembering. Every family that steps into Mihira becomes part of that legacy of love, laughter, and light passed through generations.

Chandrasekhar Singh

Founder & Lead Photographer · Mihira Studios

I'm a documentary photographer with over 34 years of experience, deeply passionate about family photography. As a father of two and a grandfather of two, I truly understand the joy and emotion behind every family portrait.

At Mihira Studios, we welcome over 200 families every year. Our approach is built on humour, warmth, and genuine connection — because we believe that a photoshoot should be as memorable as the pictures themselves.

Over the years, I have documented people, places, fairs, and festivals across India — capturing the essence of everyday life and culture. With numerous exhibitions and publications to my credit, I also had the privilege of serving as the Program Head for the Indian Photo Festival.

I have mentored many emerging photographers and artists — including teaching photography to the visually impaired — proving that seeing is more about feeling than sight.

"It's that one second when a family forgets the camera — and remembers each other. That's the second Mihira lives for."

Our Philosophy

Three pillars that guide every session we create.

01
🫂

People First

Sure, lighting and cameras matter, but real emotion comes from what's beyond the lens — sincerity. For us, people will always be the answer.

02
📅

One Day, One Family

We schedule only one family shoot per day — giving each family the full time, attention, and care they truly deserve. No rush. Ever.

03
🎨

Art Over Algorithm

Every portrait is handcrafted — not templated. We look for the frame that no filter, no preset, and no formula could ever anticipate.
